2 Ways Of Uninstalling DirectX 11

Using a Windows registry editor and Installer cleanup

The Windows Installer Cleanup is a tool that is provided by Microsoft in order to remove registry entries of all installed programs. The tool is necessary when Directx 11 is installed on a system that doesn't remove the default version.

To remove the program you should close all the running programs, click on start and click on all programs. You should then click on "Windows Install Clean up" and from the list that comes up choose "DirectX 11". You should then click on "remove" and close the Windows Installer Cleanup.

After doing this you should click on "start" and then "run". You should then type "regedit" into the search box and press "Enter." Doing this results to opening of the Registry Editor.

Once the registry opens you should click the arrow that is placed next to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE." When you click on it a list of folders will appear. You should then click on the arrow next to the software folder and a new list of folders will appear.

You should click the arrow next to the Microsoft folder and again a new list of folders will appear. You should choose "DirectX" folder and select "Delete."

You should close "regedit" and then restart your computer.
