Razer creates a mechanical keyboard case for the 12.9″ iPad Pro
Razer has been working hard on creating the world’s first ultra-low-profile mechanical keyboard switch, and the first product that benefits from its existence is, of all things, a keyboard case for the 12.9″ iPad Pro. Razer’s Mechanical Keyboard Case for the iPad Pro launches today and is available right now for $169.99.
You’re probably thinking what most people are thinking: How in the world do you include a mechanical keyboard in an iPad Pro keyboard case with chiclet-styled keys? Mechanical keyboards, by nature, have much longer key travel distances, and as such, require a thickness level that seems to go against the very premise of a thin and light keyboard cover.
The answer, of course, rests with the R&D that led to the creation of a new ultra-low-profile mechanical keyboard switch. The switch, which will adorn other Razer-branded products in the future, features true actuation and reset points, characteristics that make a mechanical keyboard so pleasing to type on. Each key press requires 70 grams of force, which helps mimic the feel of full-sized mechanical offerings.
Razer’s Mechanical Keyboard Case for the iPad Pro is a full on case, so it’s detachable polycarbonate protective shell will protect the rear of the iPad Pro as well. It also features backlit keys with a whopping 20 brightness levels for typing in dark environments.
Specs
- Low-Profile Mechanical Switches with a 70 g actuation force
- Optimized actuation and reset points
- Slim chiclet keycaps
- Designed for Apple iPad Pro
- Metal kickstand
- Detachable polycarbonate protective case
- Connectivity: Bluetooth
- Battery life: – Approx. 10 hours on a single charge at maximum brightness – Approx. 600 hours on a single charge with backlighting turned off
Instead of opting to piggyback on Apple’s Smart Connector, Razer’s Keyboard Case uses Bluetooth connectivity. Users can expect up to 600 hours via a single charge without using the backlit keys, and up to 10 hours when using the keyboard with the backlight illuminated at maximum brightness.

The iPhone Battery May Have 14% More Capacity Than the iPhone 6s
A new report purports a welcomed increase in battery capacity for Apple's next generation iPhone.
OnLeaks tweeted out the alleged battery capacity of the iPhone 7 as revealed by a source earlier today.
Pretty reliable (not 100% but almost...) source told me #iPhone7 battery = 1960mAh (#iPhone6s = 1715mAh)
This is significantly more capacity than a rumor from May which predicted a minor bump from 1715mAh to 1735mAh.
Customers have long wished for a bit more battery life out of the iPhone. Currently, heavy users are better served by the iPhone 6s Plus which does last significantly longer on a charge. Would 14% more battery life be a selling point for you? Let us know in the comments!

Samsung Introduces New UFS Memory Cards That Are Way Faster Than MicroSD
Samsung today unveiled the first removable memory cards based on the JEDEC Universal Flash Storage (UFS) 1.0 Card Extension Standard, for use in high-resolution mobile shooting devices such as DSLRs, 3D VR cameras, action cams and drones.
The memory cards come in 32, 64, 128, and 256GB storage capacities and are much faster than the microSD cards currently in use.
Samsung’s new 256GB UFS removable memory card ─ simply referred to as the UFS card will provide greatly improved user experiences, especially in high-resolution 3D gaming and high-resolution movie playback. It provides more than five times faster sequential read performance compared to that of a typical microSD card, reading sequentially at 530 megabytes per second (MB/s) which is similar to the sequential read speed of the most widely used SATA SSDs. With this UFS card, consumers have the ability to read a 5GB, Full-HD movie in approximately 10 seconds, compared to a typical UHS-1 microSD card, which would take over 50 seconds with 95MB/s of sequential reading speed. Also, at a random read rate of 40,000 IOPS, the 256GB card delivers more than 20 times higher random read performance compared to a typical microSD, which offers approximately 1,800 IOPS.
When it comes to writing, the new 256GB UFS card processes 35,000 random IOPS, which is 350 times higher than the 100 IOPs of a typical microSD card, and attains a 170MB/s sequential write speed, almost doubling the top-end microSD card speed. With these substantial performance improvements, the new 256GB UFS card significantly reduces multimedia data downloading time, photo thumbnail loading time and buffer clearing time in burst shooting mode, which, collectively, can be particularly beneficial to DSLR camera users. To shoot 24 large/extra fine JPEG photographs (1,120 megabyte (MB)-equivalent) continuously with a high-end DSLR camera, the 256GB UFS card takes less than seven seconds, compared to a UHS-1 microSD card which typically takes about 32 seconds, at 35MB/s.
It will likely take some time before devices are equipped with support for UFS cards; however, Samsung could get things kicked off with the rumored Galaxy Note 7.

Apple today introduced a new version of OS X, which is now called macOS Sierra. The new version of macOS includes new features that Apple says make your Mac "smarter" and more "helpful" than ever. Siri is finally headed to the Mac, letting users easily find documents are look up information. A new Universal Clipboard allows you to copy content from one Apple device and paste it in another. Apple Pay is also coming to the Mac so that you can easily hope online with Touch ID authentication. Finally, Photos has been improved with new ways to rediscover your favorite memories.
“macOS Sierra is a major update that makes your Mac smarter and more helpful than ever with improvements to the apps you know and love and great new features throughout,” said Craig Federighi, Apple’s senior vice president of Software Engineering. “With macOS Sierra, you can get information, find files and multitask using Siri, access your Desktop and Documents from anywhere, copy and paste between Macs and iOS devices, and rediscover precious memories in Photos.”
Siri Debuts on the Mac
Siri on the Mac is now just one click away. The familiar features of Siri are now on the Mac with brand-new capabilities specifically designed for the desktop. Easily accessible from the Dock, menu bar or keyboard, Siri lets you use your voice to search for information, find files and send messages. For example you can ask Siri to locate a specific document you worked on last night, add a meeting to your calendar or start a FaceTime call. With Siri on the Mac, you can also drag and drop items from Siri search results into your documents or emails, pin Siri search results in Notification Center to keep an eye on information like sports scores or stock prices, and even adjust system preferences, set reminders and search your Photos library. With its debut on Mac, Siri is now on all four Apple software platforms — iOS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS — and handles two billion requests per week across 36 countries.
Your Desktop and Documents on All Your Devices
With macOS Sierra you can automatically have all the files on your Desktop and in your Documents folder on any Mac, iOS device or even PC. You simply save your files on your Desktop or within your Documents folder as you usually do and you will have them everywhere you need them. You can access your files on your iPhone and iPad in the iCloud Drive app and on iCloud.com or the iCloud for Windows app. And when you log into a second Mac, your files are automatically on the Desktop and in the Documents folder, exactly where you saved them.
Copy and Paste Between Devices
Continuity across your Apple devices also gets better in macOS Sierra. With Universal Clipboard, the contents of your clipboard are available across all your Apple devices via iCloud. You can easily copy and paste text, images, photos and video between your Mac and your iPhone and iPad.
Tabs in Almost Every App
To help you navigate your Desktop with more efficiency, macOS Sierra takes the popular Tabs feature from Safari and makes it available across Mac apps that support multiple windows, including Maps, Mail, Pages, Numbers, Keynote and TextEdit, and even third-party apps. With Tabs you can browse multiple locations in Maps without losing your place, copy and paste between Pages documents in full screen, or quickly jump between multiple email drafts in Mail.
Picture in Picture on the Mac
You can now keep an eye on one thing while working on another. macOS Sierra lets you float video from Safari or iTunes in a window over your desktop as you work, and even resize, drag and pin video to any corner of your screen. The video stays put when you switch spaces, so you’ll never miss a thing.
Shopping on Your Mac with Apple Pay
Users love to shop online using their Macs and with macOS the shopping experience in Safari is now even better. Apple Pay on the web makes it easy to make secure and private purchases when shopping on participating websites. You no longer need to share credit or debit card numbers with an online merchant and actual card numbers are not stored on your device, nor on Apple servers. Just look for the Apple Pay button at checkout on many of your favorite shopping sites and complete your purchase with Touch ID on your iPhone or by using your Apple Watch. Strong encryption protects all communication between your devices and Apple Pay servers, and Apple Pay does not track your purchases.
Rediscover Memories with Photos
The new Memories feature in Photos helps you rediscover favorite and forgotten moments deep in your Photos library by automatically creating curated collections of occasions like a first birthday party, wedding or family vacation. With new advanced computer vision, Photos now understands the people, places and things inside your images using on-device facial, object and scene recognition and location information to group images into albums. The People feature automatically groups your photos into Albums based on who is in them. Places now displays your photos on a world map so you can see where they were taken. And, perfecting your photos like a pro is now even easier with the new Brilliance tool, which pulls in highlights and adds contrast to enhance details throughout your images.
Additional macOS Features
● Auto Unlock lets you simply walk up to your Mac while wearing your authenticated Apple Watch and be automatically logged into your desktop.
● Optimized Storage frees up space when your Mac starts getting full by storing infrequently used items in iCloud and reminding you to delete used app installers, and even clearing out duplicate downloads, caches, logs and more.
● Messages makes conversations more interesting, now allowing you to preview web links and watch video clips within the app, post reactions like a heart, thumbs up and more directly onto a message bubble with Tapback, and use bigger emoji for more message impact.
● Apple Music in iTunes makes it even easier to discover new music and browse exclusives and new releases.
Privacy in macOS
Security and privacy are fundamental to the design of Apple hardware, software and services. iMessage and FaceTime use end-to-end encryption to protect your data by making it unreadable by Apple and others. Services like Siri and Maps send data to Apple’s servers, but this data is not used to build user profiles, and Photos uses on-device intelligence to organize your images using facial, object and scene recognition. Starting with macOS Sierra, Apple is using technology called Differential Privacy to help discover the usage patterns of a large number of users without compromising individual privacy. In macOS Sierra, this technology will help improve autocorrect suggestions and Lookup Hints in Notes.
macOS Sierra is available to developers through the Apple Developer Program. There will be a public beta available in July, and the final version will be available to the public this fall.

Developing robust mobile applications are the main goal of the application developers today. Technology, in turn, has aided the development in their bid. The rapid advancement in technology has often meant that the long and tedious tasks have been cut short. Modern day application developers find solace in various UI frameworks and libraries. These solve many of their problems and make the development process smoother.
The World Wide Web, abbreviated as www, works on the strength of various software applications. The creation of these applications and their maintenance is referred to as web application development. These jobs are executed by expert programmers having a good understanding of coding like HTML, Flash, Perl, XML, CSS, JSP, PHP ASP and such like, necessarily needed for creating web pages. Each coding has a definite function and delivers different results. A programmer needs to be skilled at one or more languages.
A fact that is generally not known to normal users is the fact that developing a web application needs a number of modifications. There are no strict regulations for the World Wide Web. People employ various ways of utilizing the web, of which the most popular are the Internet browsers. Every web browser is different, showing pages in a slightly different manner. Some may be friendlier to specific languages, compared to others. That's what makes programming a specialized job.

I have been asked this questions a number of time about Excel and VLOOKUP formulas. How to return multiple values from one VLOOKUP.
Let's say we have customers who have more than one piece of equipment, but we want to return the serial numbers of all those pieces of equipment using the VLOOKUP formula. Normally customers have one item that we want to match, so a normal VLOOKUP fits our needs but some have more than one. We need to do a bit more with our VLOOKUP and turn up the volumes on this formula.
So, let's do this with some data... here is a list of customers and their equipment (a very small extract of our data set).
Customer Number Equipment Type Serial Number
776546 Baffle 1432
776546 Stoker 1552
776546 Plank 1749
776324 Plank 1500
764632 Baffle 1683
763452 Baffle 1815
763543 Stoker 1263
OK, so looking up the multiple types or serial numbers is really easy in this example with such a small data set, but what about if we have thousands of records, that would be pretty tough. Let's get Excel to do the tough work, and write a formula for get this job done.
{=INDEX($A$2:$C$8,SMALL(IF($A$2:$A$8=$E$2,ROW($A$2:$A$8)-1),COLUMNS($F2:F2)),3)}
